Although biochemical balancing is usually presented as a two-part program, we believe to achieve a fundamental understanding, greater adherence and superior results, it is best presented as a four-part program. Our objective is to use

1) THE HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS (HTMA)
The hair tissue mineral analysis is an easy, safe, accurate, reliable and reproducible means for testing nutritional and toxic minerals.
We use Trace Elements, Inc., a leading laboratory providing hair tissue mineral assessment testing for health-care professionals world-wide and uses state-of-the-art ICP-Mass Spectrometry, the most modern and expensive analytical technique to be applied to routine elemental analysis. This is the whole purpose of the program! In your report (see sample report) there are lists of foods to either temporarily eliminate/reduce or increase and supplement recommendations. We were both quite surprised to discover how far out-of-balance our biochemistries were when we first started mineral analysis several years ago. Carol – Give me a well written catalog on vitamins and minerals and I would think I needed all of them and usually order at least half of them. Footnote: As you can see, we rely on Trace Elements for both our lab work as well as our supplements. There are numerous reasons for this. Let me start with just a little background on Dr. Watts. Dr. Watts and the late Dr. Paul Eck are credited as being the original pioneers for clinical applications of tissue mineral analysis using inductively coupled spectrometry.
How Dr. Watts became interested in tissue mineral analysis was this; as a practicing clinician some thirty years ago, patients would come to him with symptoms of some kind. He would order the standard tests (blood, etc.) and many times they would come back “normal.” However, his patient would still have the symptom.
With respect to his patients, and his knowledge, he embarked on using a different technology (spectrometry) to test mineral levels in the hair. He found that the levels were remarkably different in the hair verses blood, urine, saliva and the red blood cell. Dr. Watts became very intrigued by these findings and has spent decades testing the mineral levels of a multitude of groups of people on an international scale. They’ve included people considered healthy, with diabetes, autism, ADD/ADHD, cardiovascular diseases, HIV/AIDS, criminals and just on and on. My impression is not only was Dr. Watts intrigued, but relentless as well. I hope you can see why we depend on Dr. Watts’ international respect in this field. He is an exceptional, warm-hearted and humble person and quite frankly, we are honored to work with him.
